Jill Newhouse Gallery

Founded in 1980, Jill Newhouse Gallery specializes in 19th and 20th century European and American works on paper.  Located in a townhouse across the street from the Metropolitan Museum, an inventory of high quality works by important artists is regularly on view. The gallery’s program has included regular exhibitions with illustrated digital catalogues of the works of artists such as Bonnard, Corot, Delacroix, Géricault, Millet, Redon, Rodin, and Vuillard. These works are often shown in tandem with works by contemporary artists such as Kiki Smith, Cecily Brown, Peter Doig, Wolf Kahn, Damien Hirst, Gerard Mossé, Graham Nickson, Dorothea Rockburne, and Kikuo Saito, demonstrating the gallery’s core belief that art of all periods is connected in the expression of humanity’s most important principals, and that culture has impact.
